Growing up, my mother would always notice beautiful pieces of nature as we were out and about. She would talk about it, drawing my attention to that beauty. In some ways, I think I’ve always been like that. But as I’ve started pressing flowers, I’ve become much more like her in that way. What started as a hobby of picking and pressing wildflowers has turned into preserving flowers from people’s most memorable days. I love the process from beginning to end - deconstructing flowers and pressing them, figuring out the best way to arrange the flowers once they’re dry, and picking out a frame to compliment the details of the finished piece.

I’m most inspired by gardens and just life in general in the English countryside. So you’ll often find me leaning towards muted yet vibrant colors, vintage inspired gold frames or a good natural wood frame, and keeping as much texture to dried flowers as possible, to make it feel like they are truly frozen in time.
